We are using substitutes as crutches for what we’ve lost: a baseline expectation of healthy masculinity. We no longer have mentors to model it for us from boyhood. We no longer have a culture that calls us to it. Absent encouragement—with our nature even demonized—we seek dopamine hits to cope with the stress of life and downward spirals of guilt and shame.
This is where Fathers for Fathers is gathering men together to begin renewing themselves and each other. This is no ‘calling out’. This is a calling-up.

Episode 25 – "Drawing Things Coming to Life While Being Spiritually Reborn" with Butch Hartman
Butch Hartman is an American animator, writer, director and voice actor who created The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, T.U.F.F. Puppy and Bunsen is a Beast for Nickelodeon. He also wrote the U.S. dub of Doogal. The Fairly OddParents is one of the longest running Nicktoons of all time, behind SpongeBob SquarePants. His cartoons, particularly The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom are staples of Millennial culture. He is married to Julieann Hartman.
Hartman lives in Bell Canyon, California, with his wife, Julieann, and daughters, Carly and Sophia Hartman. Hartman is an openly devout born-again Christian converting in 2000 after hearing a sermon by Frederick K. C. Price.
In 2005, Hartman, along with his wife, co-founded Hartman House, a non-profit organization which supports those in developing nations, as well as poverty-stricken areas in the United States. By 2017, Hartman House had built two homes for families in Guatemala, fed nearly 7,200 families with Thanksgiving meals in the U.S., and funded aid projects for orphanages in Uganda and Haiti. At Hartman House events, Hartman usually draws and autographs items related to his work for children.
