Letter from Jonathan

At Fathers for Fathers we believe our/your identity is, or can be as easy as getting real with God about your sin. Accepting the free gift of grace, offered by God your Heavenly Father, through his son Jesus.

Jesus Christ IS the good news! He offers us freedom from sin and as such salvation through his shed blood when we turn to him and get real before him with our sin. John 3:16 says that God gave his son Jesus so that YOU wouldn’t have to perish, and instead could be with Him in eternity. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." This verse in Romans 3:23 emphasizes that every person is a sinner and has fallen short of God's perfect standard. It means that no one is righteous on their own and is deserving of God's judgment. You can’t do it on your own brother! But the Bible also says that there hope and assurance for those who believe in Jesus. It speaks about the power of the Holy Spirit and the freedom that comes through Christ. Romans 8:1 says,
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
This verse assures you that through faith in Jesus, you are no longer condemned for your sins. You ARE forgiven and have a new life in Christ.  You are not your past.  You are not your mistakes. There is no shame. No guilt. No eternal punishment. You will more than likely have to man up and own your mistakes in this life, BUT you are no longer alone.  And God wants to work things for the good in your life for His glory.

If you have landed on Fathers for Fathers web page and have a smart phone simply google Romans 8 in the Bible.  This chapter was written by one of the early leaders of the 1st century Church.  His name was Paul. Paul shares the victory and assurance that believers have in Christ. The assurance that God is offering you freely.  As we read above, It begins by highlighting that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Paul goes on to emphasize the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. He speaks about the Spirit's indwelling and the transformation it brings. Romans 8:9-11 states,
"You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."
These verses highlight the power of the Holy Spirit to bring life and transformation in your life when you start to surrender and follow Jesus. It’s not easy. JD Grear, a pastor in the eastern US says often, “Jesus is either Lord of all, or not Lord at all.” This is not for the faint of heart my dear brother. This is for real men.

Now..Paul lands the plane with this…
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Paul affirms the unbreakable love of God for YOU.  You see God LOVES Men. He loves you even if you don’t know what love really is... He loves you even if you don’t love yourself. No matter what challenges or circumstances you face, nothing can separate you from His love. NOTHING.

So if you have landed on Fathers for Fathers.  Stick around.  We want to inspire you some more with how Jesus can and will change your life if you are open to it. In HIM there is no condemnation. If you are open to it the Holy Spirit will transform and empower YOU.

Paul’s 8th chapter of this letter to the church in Rome is a chapter of hope, assurance, and victory for all who put their faith in Jesus. That includes you and me.

And once you have put your trust in Jesus the Bible also says in Galatians 3:26 that, in Christ Jesus you and all of us here at Fathers for Fathers are all sons of God, through faith. We are adopted and grafted into his family.  We have a real Father who loves us and is pulling for us.. and He happens to be the creator of the universe dude! And with that relationship comes the inheritance of eternal life.

We are glad you found us.  This site is for men.. broken men.  Men who want to turn their back on this broken world and be whole men.  This is a place for men who are tired of playing the victim or villain and want to get real with God and be the hero’s only he can make us into for His glory.

Stick around ~ Your brother in Christ
